Advancing Justice for All Marylanders
Justice should not be a luxury reserved for the wealthy. Maryland Legal Aid (MLA) is a statewide private, non-profit law firm dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income and vulnerable individuals. Since our founding in 1911, we have been a lifeline for thousands of Marylanders, helping them secure their fundamental human rights. Our mission is to advocate with and for people experiencing poverty to achieve equity and social justice. We handle civil cases involving housing, family stability, employment, and public benefits.
