New Mexico Legal Aid (NMLA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to changing that reality by providing high-quality civil legal assistance to those who cannot afford a private attorney. Formed in 2003 through the merger of several regional legal aid societies (with roots dating back to the 1950s), NMLA serves as a lifeline for families facing housing crises, domestic violence, and economic hardship.
