Disappointing Communication and Lack of Follow-Through
My experience with Space City Law has been extremely disappointing. I initially contacted the firm in August seeking legal assistance with an employment discrimination matter and paid for a consultation. Since then, I have repeatedly attempted to obtain representation and follow up as my case has progressed, but communication has been inconsistent and unnecessarily frustrating.
Despite discussing potential representation, payment arrangements, and next steps, I have had to repeatedly reach out for updates and clarification. At one point, after multiple follow-ups, I was told they were unsure what request I was referring to, despite our documented correspondence.
My case has continued progressing through the administrative discrimination complaint process, and I have communicated significant developments, including the acceptance of my discrimination charge. Yet I have struggled to obtain a clear response regarding whether the firm intends to assist me.
When someone is dealing with potential employment discrimination, financial hardship, and time-sensitive legal matters, reliable communication is essential. Prospective clients should not have to repeatedly chase a law firm simply to understand the status of their request.
I understand that attorneys are busy and cannot accept every case. However, professionalism requires transparency, timely responses, and clear expectations. Unfortunately, my experience has been characterized by delays, confusion, and a disappointing lack of follow-through. I expected significantly better communication, especially after paying for an initial consultation.
Update: Communication worsened when raising these concerns; the firm's subsequent response was unnecessarily hostile and confrontational.
