However, her son’s diagnosis changed her career path, inspiring her to fill the gap in legal services for the disability community. She is an active member of organizations like Friends of Down Syndrome and the Texas Guardianship Association. Leona is known for her patience and her ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain English, empowering parents to make informed decisions.
