Profile
Former Prosecutor Fighting for Your Defense
Beckwith Criminal Law is a distinguished defense firm located in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle. Founded in 2007 by Cristine Beckwith, a former Deputy Prosecutor for Pierce County, the firm brings an insider’s perspective to criminal defense. Having worked on the ”other side,” Cristine understands exactly how the state builds its cases, where they cut corners, and how to exploit those weaknesses for her clients’ benefit. This strategic advantage has helped thousands of clients across the Puget Sound region avoid convictions and jail time.
Our office is housed in the iconic Olympic Block Building on Yesler Way, surrounded by the rich history of Seattle’s original downtown. We believe that every client deserves a zealous advocate who will treat them with dignity, not judgment. Whether you are a juvenile facing a first-time offense or an adult charged with a serious DUI, Beckwith Criminal Law provides the experienced, aggressive representation you need to protect your record and your freedom.
Our Areas of Expertise
We focus exclusively on criminal defense to maintain the highest standards of practice:
- DUI Defense: defending against alcohol and drug-related driving charges, including felony DUI and vehicular assault.
- Domestic Violence: Expert handling of sensitive family matters involving assault allegations, often working to get cases dismissed before trial.
- Juvenile Defense: A specialized practice area dedicated to protecting the futures of minors. We understand that a mistake in youth should not ruin a lifetime of opportunity.
- Theft and Property Crimes: representing clients accused of shoplifting, burglary, and fraud.
- Assault: Defending against charges ranging from simple assault to more serious violent offenses.
