Overview
NH Fish and Game Licensing Office
The NH Fish and Game Licensing Office is located within the department’s headquarters at 11 Hazen Drive in Concord. This facility serves as the central hub for administering and distributing licenses required for outdoor recreation in the Granite State. While many licenses can be purchased online or at retail agents (like Walmart), this specific office provides comprehensive services that may not be available elsewhere, such as specialized permits and administrative support for license corrections.
Available Licenses and Permits
Outdoor enthusiasts can visit this office to purchase a wide array of credentials, including:
- Hunting and Fishing Licenses: For residents and non-residents, including freshwater, saltwater (recreational), and combination licenses.
- OHRV and Snowmobile Registration: Handling registrations for off-highway recreational vehicles.
- Milestone and Lifetime Licenses: This headquarters is one of the few locations where seniors can obtain their ‘Milestone’ licenses (free permanent licenses for residents born before 1948) or where residents can apply for Lifetime Licenses.
- Specialty Permits: Issuance of bear, turkey, and pheasant tags, as well as migratory bird (HIP) permits.
- Hike Safe Cards: Voluntary cards that provide protection from search and rescue liability costs.
Merchandise and Information
Beyond paperwork, the lobby at 11 Hazen Drive features a small retail section offering official NH Fish and Game merchandise, such as logo hats, t-shirts, and the popular NH Wildlife Calendar. Visitors can also pick up the latest hunting and fishing digests, maps, and educational brochures regarding wildlife regulations and conservation efforts.
