About Jim Allen

James M. Allen is a Memphis native who has practiced law since 1993. After graduating from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, he spent years in private practice before joining the law department of the United States Postal Service. There, he handled labor and employment cases across a multi-state region, gaining an insider's view of federal employment law. He returned to private practice in 2016 to serve the Memphis community directly. He is a past president of the Memphis Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and remains active in the legal community.
