Representing East End Neighborhoods
The Office of District 8 is a legislative branch of the Pittsburgh City Council, located in the City-County Building. This district encompasses some of the city’s most vibrant and densely populated neighborhoods, including Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Oakland, and Point Breeze. The Council Member for District 8 is responsible for drafting and voting on city ordinances, approving the municipal budget, and serving as a direct voice for constituents in City Hall.

The office operates out of the historic City-County Building, where weekly Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers and are open to the public for comment.
