Overview
IDES – Board of Review
Administrative Functions
This location of the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) at 115 South LaSalle Street primarily houses administrative and legal divisions, including the Board of Review. 🏛️⚖️ The Board of Review is the final administrative authority for unemployment insurance appeals in the state before cases proceed to the court system. This office handles the review of decisions made by administrative law judges regarding benefit eligibility.
Important Notice for Claimants

- Filing Claims: All new unemployment insurance claims should be filed online via the IDES website.
- Certification: Bi-weekly certification is done online or by phone.
- In-Person Help: For workforce development and job placement, claimants are often directed to American Job Centers rather than administrative HQs.
