Overview
NSA Annapolis DEERS and ID Lab
Military Personnel Services
The NSA Annapolis ID Card Office, located in Metzger Hall, is the primary facility for processing military identification and DEERS updates for the United States Naval Academy and surrounding commands. This secure facility issues Common Access Cards (CAC) to active duty personnel, reservists, and civilian employees, as well as Uniformed Services ID cards to retirees and dependents. To minimize wait times, the office operates primarily on an appointment system via the RAPIDS scheduler, though limited walk-in services are available on Thursdays and Fridays. Visitors must be aware that this office is located within the NSA Annapolis perimeter, requiring strict base access credentials or a sponsor for entry.
- Appointments: Priority Service (Mon-Wed)
- Walk-Ins: Thu (Morning), Fri (All Day)
- Requirements: Two Forms of Valid ID
Base Access Protocols
Access to the Naval Support Activity is restricted to authorized personnel. Visitors aged 18 and over without a military ID must present a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or passport and may need to pass through the Visitor Control Center. All vehicles and bags are subject to search. Weapons, illegal substances, and other contraband are strictly prohibited on base. Inside the ID lab, the use of cell phones and cameras is forbidden to protect privacy and security.
