MSDE Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS)
The Annapolis Office of the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) is a state agency under the Maryland State Department of Education dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities. Located on Old Solomons Island Road, this office assists citizens in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving economic self-sufficiency through personalized vocational rehabilitation programs.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services
DORS provides a comprehensive suite of services tailored to the unique needs of job seekers with physical, emotional, intellectual, or sensory disabilities:
- Career Counseling: Professional guidance to identify career goals and necessary training paths.
- Job Placement Assistance: Support with resume building, interview preparation, and connecting with inclusive employers.
- Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS): Specialized programs for students with disabilities (ages 14-21) to prepare them for the workforce or post-secondary education.
