Digital Infrastructure and Services
The Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT), located in Boston City Hall, acts as the engine for the city’s digital transformation. DoIT supports over 7,500 city employees and manages the critical infrastructure that keeps Boston running, from cybersecurity and broadband networks to the ‘Boston.gov’ website. The department is also home to the Analytics Team and the Digital Service, which work to modernize constituent services, making them more accessible and user-friendly. Civic Tech and Support
This office is the central point for the city’s technology strategy, overseeing data governance and the ‘311’ constituent service platform integration.
