Mission and Scope
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Newark Field Office acts as the primary federal law enforcement presence in New Jersey. Headquartered at the Claremont Tower on Centre Place, this division is responsible for investigating federal crimes and threats to national security throughout the state (excluding three southern counties). The office operates 24/7 to protect citizens from terrorism, cyber threats, and major criminal enterprises.
