Constituent Services

• Represents New York’s 12th Congressional District, covering the Upper West Side, Morningside Heights, Hell’s Kitchen, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, Soho, and parts of the Upper East Side.
• Federal Casework: Staff assists constituents with issues involving federal agencies, including Social Security benefits, Medicare, IRS tax disputes, and Veterans Affairs claims.
• Passport Assistance: Can assist with emergency passport applications and inquiries regarding the status of passport processing with the Department of State.
• Service Academy Nominations: Congressman Nadler nominates qualified students from the district to United States Service Academies such as West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy.

Legislative Priorities

• Judiciary Committee: As a senior member (and former Chairman) of the House Judiciary Committee, Nadler focuses on protecting civil rights, reproductive freedom, and LGBTQ+ equality.
• Works on transportation infrastructure projects critical to New York City, including the Gateway Program and subway funding.
