The City of Pittsburgh Police Training Academy is the premier educational facility for the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Located on North Lincoln Avenue in the Manchester neighborhood (North Side), this academy is responsible for the comprehensive training of new police recruits as well as the continuing education of veteran officers. The curriculum covers essential areas such as criminal law, patrol procedures, tactical skills, and community-oriented policing strategies.
