CCSO Credentials Office
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office Credentials Office is located within the administrative complex near the Cook County Jail at 2898 West 31st Street. This specialized unit is responsible for the issuance and management of official identification cards and badges for the Sheriff’s Office. Credentialing Services
The office services active duty personnel as well as retirees requiring identification. Key responsibilities include:

- Badge Management: Tracking the issuance and return of official stars (badges) to ensure strict accountability of law enforcement symbols.
