The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) New York Field Office is the largest and arguably most significant field office in the Bureau’s network. Headquartered at 26 Federal Plaza within the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building, this office plays a pivotal role in national security. Unlike standard police precincts, this facility focuses on major federal crimes, including counterterrorism, counterintelligence, cybercrime, and public corruption. The New York office has a storied history of handling some of the nation’s most high-profile investigations and works in close coordination with the NYPD through various Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF).

The New York Field Office covers all five boroughs of New York City, eight counties in New York State, and the major airports (JFK and LaGuardia).
