Facility Features and Amenities
The Robert Miller Community & Recreation Center is a premier facility managed by Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront. Located at 130 Gosse Court in the city’s New North End, effectively serving as a vibrant gathering place for residents of all ages. The center features a full-size 7,000 square foot gymnasium equipped for basketball, pickleball, and volleyball. For fitness enthusiasts, there is a dedicated exercise room with mirrored walls and wood flooring. A unique feature of the Miller Center is the Kids Room, which houses a ”Micro Library” in partnership with the Fletcher Free Library, offering a selection of books alongside toys and kid-sized furniture.
Programs and Rentals
The center is a hub for community programming, offering everything from youth sports leagues and summer camps to senior fitness classes and drop-in playgroups. The facility is also available for private rentals, making it a popular venue for birthday parties, community meetings, and workshops. The adjacent outdoor space connects to the expansive Starr Farm Park, providing easy access to sports fields, a dog park, and the Burlington bike path.
Visiting the Center
The Miller Center is designed to be inclusive and accessible. It offers free WiFi via Burlington Telecom and has ample free parking on-site. The building is fully ADA compliant, ensuring access for individuals with disabilities. Visitors can borrow equipment, such as discs for the nearby disc golf course, directly from the front desk. While the center is open to the public, certain programs may require registration or a fee.
