Vermont International Trade Division Overview
The International Trade Division is a specialized unit within the Vermont Department of Economic Development, located in the historic Pavilion Building in Montpelier. This division serves as the state’s primary resource for businesses looking to enter or expand into global markets. Through the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the division provides financial grants to eligible small businesses for export-related activities such as trade shows, foreign market sales trips, and subscription services.
