Overview
Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh
Management Information Systems (MIS)
The MIS Department serves as the technology backbone for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP). This division is responsible for the administration, security, and maintenance of the authority’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that staff can effectively serve residents and that critical housing data is managed securely. While primarily an internal support department, MIS plays a crucial role in maintaining the resident portals, online application systems, and computer labs available in some HACP communities.
- Infrastructure Management: Maintenance of networks, servers, and telecommunications for HACP offices and properties.
- Data Security: Protecting sensitive resident data and ensuring compliance with federal HUD privacy regulations.
- Technical Support: Providing hardware and software support for Housing Authority employees and automated systems.
