Community Corrections Management
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) maintains a Community Corrections Management (CCM) field office within the William S. Moorhead Federal Building in Pittsburgh, PA 🏙️. This administrative office does not house inmates but acts as the liaison for federal offenders transitioning back into the community in the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia regions.
- Reentry Management: Oversees contracts with Residential Reentry Centers (RRCs), commonly known as halfway houses.
- Home Confinement: Monitors offenders placed on home confinement programs to ensure compliance with federal restrictions.
- Liaison Services: Coordinates with the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Probation, and federal courts regarding inmate placement and release planning.
This facility is an administrative hub 📁 and is not open to the general public for visitation. Access to the Moorhead Federal Building requires strict airport-style security screening 🛡️ and valid government identification.
