The Massachusetts State Police Troop F is a specialized unit dedicated exclusively to the safety and security of Massport properties, primarily Boston Logan International Airport. Unlike standard highway patrols, Troop F focuses on aviation and maritime security, policing the airport's roadways, terminals, and the Seaport District's waterfront. Their jurisdiction also extends to Hanscom Field and Worcester Regional Airport. This troop works in close coordination with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Massport Fire Rescue, and federal agencies to maintain a secure environment for millions of travelers annually.

Specialized Units

Troop F operates a unique array of specialized units tailored to the airport environment. These include the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit (Bomb Squad), which responds to suspicious packages, and a highly trained K-9 Unit that patrols terminals for explosives and narcotics. While the barracks serves as the operational headquarters, troopers are stationed throughout all airport terminals. In emergencies within the airport, dialing 911 will route callers to the Troop F dispatch for immediate response.
