The Massachusetts District Attorneys Association (MDAA) is an independent state agency headquartered in Boston’s Financial District. Its primary mission is to support the eleven elected District Attorneys of Massachusetts and their staff, which includes hundreds of prosecutors and victim-witness advocates. The MDAA facilitates cooperation and information sharing among the districts to ensure consistent and effective prosecution of crimes throughout the state.
- Technology Services: Manages the statewide case management system and IT infrastructure for DA offices.
- Training and Education: Hosts professional development conferences and specialized training sessions for prosecutors.
- Grant Administration: Administers funding for critical programs, including Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grants.
- Policy and Publications: Produces legal manuals and provides analysis on criminal justice legislation.
Office Information
The MDAA office is located at 99 Summer Street. While it serves as the administrative hub for the association, it is not a venue for reporting crimes or seeking legal representation for individual cases. Members of the public with specific case inquiries should contact their local District Attorney’s office directly. The association focuses on administrative, technological, and policy support rather than direct casework.
