Key Operational Units

This location functions as the nerve center for several specialized MaineDOT bureaus:

• Fleet Services: This is the flagship headquarters for managing the MaineDOT’s heavy fleet. The team here is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and deployment of the plow trucks, graders, and heavy machinery used to keep Maine’s roads safe.
• Region 2 (Midcoast) Office: The administrative base for the Midcoast Region, responsible for overseeing highway maintenance, winter plowing operations, and infrastructure projects across central and coastal Maine.
• Sign and Electrical Shop: A specialized manufacturing facility where the state’s highway signs are fabricated and where traffic control devices (signals, flashers) are maintained and repaired.
